Borders, Inlays, Medallions

The feature options in borders, inlays and medallions are endless. Our line of options are all 3/4" solid wood. Primarily, these were used to accent what people considered otherwise boring wood floors. In a time before the invention or easy access to carpet, tile, ceramic, stone, vinyl or other flooring surfaces, inlays allowed people to dress up a floor to a person's personal flare. Thomas Jefferson used inlays (parquet) throughout his sitting chamber laid out in a diagonal pattern at Monticello.
