Exotic Hardwoods
At Historic Floor we have time-tested and installed and "job-finished" literally thousands and thousands of sq. ft. of these species where a more formal look is desired. The deep tones of exotic species, plus, the natural hardness of exotics is a great value. Exotics make a great look where highly-formal meets both traditional and contemporty design.
Although we carry up to 15 species of exotic flooring our top sellers are Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), Brazilian walnut (Ipe), Brazilian oak (Timborana) and Austrailian Cypress.
Please contact us for current inventories, availability and pricing or, call us now @ 1-877-439-6600.
Our only caution regarding exotics is the inherent nature of these species to amber so rapidly that they have a tendency to "picture frame" with rugs and furniture. Therefore, we do recommend waiting up to as much as one year before rugs.

Wood is a natural flooring material that inherently contains distinctive differences in grain and color configurations. These subtle differences that occur in nature create the beauty, warmth and individuality of each Historic™ floor. The room scenes and photography on this site are intended as a visual guide, as your Historic™ floor may vary in actual color or grain pattern.
