Heritage™ NewHeart™ Yellow Pine — 6 " & 8 "

At Historic™, our Heritage™ NewHeart™ plank flooring comes from newly harvested, native grown shortleaf yellowpine trees from the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri's Ozarks. This unique native species of pine is highly favoried over plantation-grown pine. The reason is simple-- it's cold in the Ozarks from late October through early March. This cold season slows down the growth of the pine trees resulting in a very dense growth ring pattern. As far as newly-harvested yellow pine flooring goes, our NewHeart pine was recognized by Early American Life in 2005 for its quality and Historic's ability to give it the same patina and look of a floor that had been down for 100 + years. This product can yield up to 70-75% newheart content. This is our #1 selling product and looks great when we distress, Heritage stain, face nail and apply our Antique Matte polyurethane finish. Wood is a natural flooring material that inherently contains distinctive differences in grain and color configurations. These subtle differences that occur in nature create the beauty, warmth and individuality of each Historic™ floor. The room scenes and photography on this site are intended as a visual guide, as your Historic™ floor may vary in actual color or grain pattern.
